From the car park in Grünwald (Loipenhaus), turn right into the asphalt road. After approx. 200 metres, leave the road and turn right uphill onto the path. The route now climbs steadily up to the Bärenstein at 1077 m.

The Bohemian Massif was formed around 300 million years ago. The subsequent weathering process created these unique granite towers, which are also known as wool sacks.

Enjoy the view over the Vltava reservoir in the Czech Republic. Now head left downhill to your starting point in Grünwald.
